We are a dynamic, rapidly growing Asian hospitality group with a diverse portfolio of venues operating across New South Wales. We are looking for a detailed-oriented, energetic Payroll Officer to join our support office team.

You will work within a team, working closely with our Financial controller and our Senior Accounts Manager.

The role

  • Payroll Processing: End-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll ensuring compliance with relevant awards (e.g., Hospitality Industry Award).

  • Reporting: Preparing regular standard payroll reports and generating ad-hoc financial/payroll analyses for management.

  • HR Administration: Supporting the employee lifecycle, including onboarding new starters, maintaining employee files, tracking visa statuses, and managing leave entitlements.

  • Onboarding & Queries: Serving as the main point of contact for staff payroll queries, and assisting with superannuation, payroll tax, and Single Touch Payroll (STP) lodgements.

  • Ad-hoc Duties: Assisting the Financial Controller and Senior Accounts Manager with administrative or accounts tasks as required to support the business's growth.

What We Are Looking For
  • Experience: Previous experience in a payroll-focused role (hospitality or retail industry experience is highly regarded but not essential).

  • Award Knowledge: A solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation, and modern awards.

  • Systems Savvy: Proficiency with payroll software MYOB, Deputy Rostering Software and strong Microsoft Excel skills,

  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry and a knack for spotting discrepancies.
