The opportunity:
We have an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable / Credit Officer with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. The role is based at our head office in Campbelltown working within our Management Department.
Skills and experience we would love:
· A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role;
· Qualifications in Accounting (preferred but not essential).
· Knowledge and understanding of Debt Recovery Procedures.
· Familiarity with FeeSynergy debt platform (preferred but not essential).
· Knowledge and understanding of Trust Account Regulations.
· Awareness of legal confidentiality policies.
· General knowledge of the finance industry including banking, payment options etc.
· Solid English communication skills, both written and oral.
Key Responsibilities:
· Follow Debt Recovery Procedures to recover outstanding costs.
· Prepare and distribute Individual Debt Lists.
· Prepare weekly and monthly debt figures.
· Prepare monthly debt reports.
· Negotiate accounts and payment options with clients, when necessary.
· Manage electronic diary system.
· Liaise with Solicitors and Administrative staff.
· Liaise with clients on telephone and via written correspondence.
· Follow-up outstanding accounts.
· Answer telephone queries.
· Manage accounts reminders including in Fee Synergy.
· Collate documents and attachments.
· Identify trends and make suggestions as to improvements in debt collection.
