As the IT Security Specialist, you'll help lead and develop the organisation's cyber security capability, working closely with IT / Technology Leadership to detect and respond to cyber threats and strengthen enterprise wide security controls. You will work with a wide range of security tools and collaborate with cross functional teams to strengthen our security posture and ensure a safe, resilient technology landscape.
What are my accountabilities?
Detect, analyse and resolve IT and cyber security incidents across the organisation
Administer and support a range of IT security tools, platforms and applications
Investigate suspected malicious activity and provide clear written and verbal reports to management
Partner with IT teams, project managers and business stakeholders to implement effective security solutions
Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT security controls, processes and frameworks
About you
3 -4 years of proven experience in IT security operations or cyber security incident response
4 to 5 years SOC experience
2 years Networking experience
Strong understanding of the confidentiality, integrity and availability (CIA) triad and security frameworks
Experience working with TCP/IP networks, operating systems and enterprise environments
Exposure to firewalls, load balancers, endpoint protection, SIEM solutions and encryption technologies
Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
You have current work rights for Australia
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification required
