Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

This role is primarily focused on developing and executing marketing initiatives

that strengthen Numero Uno’s presence within the specialty coffee market,

increase brand awareness, and support wholesale and retail business growth.

Main Duties

·       Identify market opportunities, consumer trends, and competitor activity

within the specialty coffee industry to support business growth and brand

positioning.

·       Develop and implement content calendars, marketing campaigns, and

promotional strategies featuring origin stories, roast profiles, product

launches, seasonal blends, and barista education.

·       Manage and grow Numero Uno’s digital presence across social media

platforms, including product campaigns, origin stories, behind-the-scenes

roastery content, barista education, promotional materials, email marketing

campaigns, and wholesale communications aligned with the company’s visual

identity and brand positioning.

·       Monitor marketing performance metrics, customer engagement, campaign

effectiveness, and competitor activity to optimise audience growth,

customer acquisition, and promotional outcomes.

·       Build, manage, and maintain email marketing databases and CRM systems,

including audience segmentation, personalised communications, and

marketing automation initiatives for retail and wholesale customers.

·       Develop sales and marketing collateral, onboarding materials, pricing

presentations, proposals, and product guides for wholesale partners

including cafés, restaurants, and offices.

·       Support wholesale business growth through targeted outreach campaigns,

partnership opportunities, LinkedIn engagement, and relationship

management within the hospitality and specialty coffee industry.

·       Plan and coordinate brand activations, specialty coffee events, pop-up

campaigns, roastery open days, and cupping events, including event

logistics, branded collateral, merchandise, and customer engagement

activities.

·       Contribute to the ongoing development of brand guidelines, tone of voice,

website content, promotional materials, and overall visual identity to

strengthen brand awareness and market presence.

·       Collaborate with the roasting team to develop product knowledge and

ensure accurate representation of coffee products and brand identity in

marketing activities.

·       Provide coordination support for marketing campaigns, promotional stock,

merchandise, and customer engagement activities during events and peak

campaign periods.

Skill Base

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree or above in relevant area

Essential Skills & Employment Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably in food & beverage,

hospitality, or consumer goods

• Proven social media management experience with a strong portfolio of

content.

• Proficiency with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar)

• Excellent written communication skills and a strong eye for visual aesthetics

• Comfortable with basic photo/video creation and editing (Adobe, Canva,

CapCut, or similar)

• Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects

simultaneously.

• Genuine passion for specialty coffee and the café/hospitality industry

Desirable

• Experience with Shopify or similar eCommerce platforms

• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, or marketing

analytics tools

• Basic graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite or Canva Pro)

• Experience with wholesale or B2B marketing in the food industry

• Barista experience or formal coffee education (SCA certification an

advantage)

• Existing network in the Sydney hospitality or specialty coffee community
