They also provide our lawyers the opportunity to work with and learn from them. We are innovators in the use of technology, redefining value and service in the legal industry.

About our Real Assets team

Our dedicated Real Assets practice is built for the way institutional capital invests today, bringing together market-leading expertise across real estate, infrastructure, private capital, M&A, finance and development. We advise leading sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, global asset managers, developers and institutional investors on complex, high-value investments across the full asset life cycle.

You will work directly with Ben Cosentino, co-head of Real Assets and a partner who has helped close over $40 billion in real asset M&A deals, including:

  • Blackstone’s $24 billion acquisition of AirTrunk, the largest global data centre deal
  • Starwood Capital’s financing for Blackstone’s acquisition of Hamilton Island and its $500 million programmatic industrial joint venture with Kinkora Investments
  • Samty Holdings, Hillhouse and Rava Partners’ acquisition of UniLodge, Australia and New Zealand’s leading purpose-built student accommodation platform, valued at over $625 million
  • Macquarie Asset Management’s cornerstone investments in the Local: Residential and LogiSPACE platforms

You will get hands-on experience on major joint ventures, platform investments and structured transactions across the sectors attracting the most sophisticated capital, including logistics, living, student accommodation, healthcare, hospitality, energy transition, digital infrastructure and commercial real estate. Working in a dedicated, senior-led team, you will be part of the cross-border mandates and strategic real asset deals shaping the market.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you’re eager to work on high-profile and technically challenging transactions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You’ll bring:

  • At least two years’ post-admission experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate, or real estate and infrastructure transactions
  • A strong interest in large-scale real asset transactions involving private capital, real estate and infrastructure sectors
  • A proactive and commercial mindset, with the ability to navigate complex legal and business issues
  • Exceptional drafting and analytical skills

  • A genuine interest in developing your career in a high-performing team
