We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organized Accounts Officer to join our Finance team in Caringbah. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety, and can confidently manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Administration Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Accounts Receivable:

  • Processing customer payments and account reconciliations.

  • Managing debtor accounts and and following up on outstanding invoices.

  • Monitoring customer account status and credit holds.

  • Preparing debtor reports and statements.

  • Liaising with customers and internal sales teams regarding payments and discrepancies.

Accounts Payable

  • Processing supplier invoices and payment approvals.

  • Preparing weekly payment runs and cashflow forecasts.

  • Allocating expenses to correct accounts.

  • Assisting with BAS, IAS and reconciliations.

  • Managing invoices approvals and supplier communications.

Payroll

  • Processing weekly payroll in MYOB.

  • Preparing payroll reports and labour analysis.

  • Assisting with superannuation, PAYG and payroll tax requirements.

  • Supporting leave liability reporting and payroll compliance.

General Adminstration

  • Supporting process improvements and digitization projects.

  • Assisting the wider administration and finance team as required.

  • Marinating accurate records and documentation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Intermediate computer skills and experience using MYOB.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

  • A proactive, team focused attitude.

  • Qualification in Business, Accounting or related discipline.

  • Studying towards CPA or CA qualification.
