ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the Custom Fleet crew to play a key role in assisting month-end closing and reporting of Custom Fleet’s cash accounts and ownership of the daily banking process. The role involves interaction with different teams and stakeholders and processing daily payments requests.
Essential duties:
Raise purchase orders accurately and within specified deadlines.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are promptly identified and resolved.
Ensure all payments are properly authorised and processed in accordance with internal controls and company policies.
Maintain compliance with company financial policies and procedures in all transactions.
Address and resolve internal and external queries efficiently and accurately.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency across accounting and reporting functions.
Complete all month-end processes, including posting manual journal entries and performing account reconciliations with a high level of accuracy within agreed timelines
Undertake additional duties as required to support the finance team.
Other duties:
Analysing financial data and providing insights to improve reporting and decision-making.
Assist with the preparation of financial statements

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience:
Essential experience:
Ensures work is completed accurately and efficiently, with significant attention to detail.
Proficiency in various MS Office software applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
High energy and passion for quality work and continuous improvement
Strong interpersonal skills – ability to communicate clearly with all levels of management across the business.
Committed and self-motivated, with proven ability to execute and drive own agenda.
Team player.
Other experience:
Assisting with audits, providing necessary documentation, and responding to audit queries.
