Quartz Claims is growing, and we are looking for versatile Motor Claims Specialists to join our team.

This role would suit someone with solid motor claims experience who enjoys managing claims end-to-end, but also has an interest in recoveries, liability decisions and commercial claims outcomes.

You will be responsible for handling day-to-day motor claims while also assisting with recovery opportunities across the portfolio. It is a great opportunity for someone who wants variety in their role and the chance to develop broader technical claims capability.

The Opportunity

As a Motor Claims Specialist, you will manage retail motor claims from lodgement through to finalisation. You will assess coverage, liability, quantum and repair pathways while also identifying and progressing recovery opportunities where appropriate.

This is not a narrow claims role. We are looking for someone who can be flexible, take ownership and contribute across both claims handling and recoveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage motor claims from first notification through to settlement

• Assess policy coverage, liability, quantum and claim validity

• Make sound decisions on claim strategy and next steps

• Coordinate repairers, assessors, towing providers and other service providers

• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, brokers, repairers, third parties and insurers

• Identify recovery opportunities early in the claim lifecycle

• Progress recoveries against at-fault third parties or their insurers

• Review evidence including statements, photos, reports, invoices and liability information

• Maintain accurate claim notes, reserves and system data

• Manage claim costs in line with delegated authority and portfolio guidelines

• Support quality, compliance and service standards across the portfolio

About You

You will ideally have:

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in motor claims however this is not essential.

• Strong understanding of motor claims processes, liability and repair management

• Some experience with motor recoveries, third party claims or liability disputes

• Good attention to detail and sound judgement

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy claims environment

• A customer-focused approach, balanced with commercial discipline

• Confidence working with systems, data and claim documentation

• A willingness to be flexible and support different parts of the claims process as the business grows

Experience in recoveries is highly regarded, but we are also open to someone with strong motor claims experience who is keen to develop further in this area.
