Euroka Children’s Centre is a not-for-profit, community-based Early childhood centre that has been providing high quality education and care in the Blue Mountains since 1985. Join our passionate team at Euroka Children’s Centre as a Finance Administration Officer. Ensure smooth, efficient operations within our centre by managing office duties, financial administration and providing excellent customer service.
This is a part-time position with a high degree of flexibility, located in Blaxland.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Financial Management
· Oversee and administer finances and funding including grant funding.
· Prepare financial reports and reconcile bank accounts.
· Manage wages, superannuation, and ensure ATO compliance.
· Handle workers' compensation, accounts payable, and cash banking.
· Maintain XERO and prepare for audits.
Administration
· Maintain and update the childcare management system (KinderM8) or similar, ensuring correct and updated records.
· Process and distribute reports and forms to relevant parties.
· Handle word processing and data entry.
· Maintain compliant filing systems.
· Ensure adherence to legislation, including the Privacy Act.
· Attend relevant meetings and perform other duties as directed.
Customer Service
· Provide excellent customer service to families, staff, and external providers resolving queries and creating a positive experience.
· Demonstrate proactive and professional communication, both verbal and written.
· Ensure effective and current enrolment processes and database applications.
· Maintain Austral Cloud database with up-to-date child details.
Compliance and Governance
· Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety Regulations.
· Adhere to Early Childhood Australia’s Code of Ethics.
ABOUT YOU
· Experience in childcare administration or related field.
· Have or willing to obtain Working With Children Check [WWCC] and complete child protection training
· Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Excel and Xero).
· Strong organisational, multitasking, and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
· Knowledge of early childhood education regulations preferred.
