Meers Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Head of Credit and Settlements – Asset Finance to join highly regarded Non-Bank Lender for 16month contract role.
The purpose of the Head of Credit and Settlements – Asset Finance position is to lead and manage an integrated credit, settlements and support function across ANZ and Manila for all customers and products of the Asset Finance department; Collaborate with the Asset Finance Leadership Team to collectively deliver Asset Finance goals and objectives; Deliver credit, settlement and other processes and functions in accordance with agreed service levels and policy and procedure; Develop strategies to continuously improve systems, processes, policies and reporting that deliver to Asset Finance strategy.
Responsibilities include;-
Ownership and review of Credit Policy including engagement with stakeholders for sign off
Steer and lead the development and maintenance of credit automation and credit risk scorecards. Engagement with stakeholders across the business to ensure successful implementation
Asset Finance representative on the Credit Committee ensuring compliance with credit risk policy and procedure, management of credit risk issues and reporting aligned to key risk indicators and Credit Policy
Budget & Operational Expenses. Develop and operate budgets, including re-forecast of operational expenses as required and aligned to Asset Finance Strategy
Capacity Management. Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity to increase scalability of the credit & settlement functions
Collective Leadership. Be an active member of the Asset Finance Leadership team with shared responsibility for business performance
Continuous Improvement. Strategies are developed and implemented to drive continuous improvement to policies, procedures, systems and processes
Management Insights. Develop metrics and reporting to provide insights into operational capacity, productivity and customer service levels
To be successful you will possess;-
A minimum of 10yrs Senior Management experience within strategic, operational and people leadership in financial services.
A minimum of 10yrs experience in consumer and commercial credit and experience exercising a delegated lending authority > $2 million and leading managers who also manage delegated authorities.
Extensive knowledge of the Regulatory environment including NCCP, RG209 Responsible Lending, AML/ CTF)
Relevant degree qualification / Leadership/Management Accreditation
