Kids Club Gosford is seeking a passionate and experienced Centre Chef/Cook to join our team in a permanent full-time position (38 hours per week).

As a thriving 120-place early learning centre, we are looking for someone who enjoys creating nutritious meals, planning menus, and contributing to a positive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

About the Role

As the Centre Chef, you will be responsible for all aspects of food preparation and kitchen management, ensuring children receive nutritious, balanced, and appealing meals each day.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and serving meals and snacks in accordance with the weekly menu and daily recipes

  • Catering for children's dietary requirements, allergies, cultural preferences, and developmental needs

  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment

  • Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements

  • Managing stock rotation, ordering, and inventory control

  • Collaborating with other Kids Club Centre Chefs on menu development and nutritional planning

  • Promoting healthy eating habits and supporting the centre's nutrition philosophy

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or an equivalent qualification

  • Food Safety Supervisor, Food Handling, and Nutrition qualifications (or equivalent)

  • Previous experience working as a Chef or Cook, preferably within childcare, education, healthcare, or a high-volume kitchen environment

  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and allergy management

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • The ability to work independently and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation

  • A current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
