An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant to support the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Sharks Group.

This is a unique role that provides exposure across both professional sport and hospitality, supporting the CEO, while contributing to key organisational initiatives, including the highly anticipated opening of the new Sharks Leagues Club.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Group CEO, this role provides high-level executive, governance and administrative support while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Sharks Administration Office.

You will act as a trusted partner to the CEO, managing competing priorities, coordinating Board and Executive activities, supporting organisational projects and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Executive & Governance Support

  • Manage the CEO's diary, correspondence, travel and meeting schedule

  • Coordinate Board and Committee meetings, agendas and papers

  • Prepare Board packs, reports, presentations and executive correspondence

  • Attend meetings and prepare accurate minutes and action registers

  • Support governance processes and maintain confidential records

  • Monitor organisational priorities and follow up on key actions

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Act as a key point of contact for the CEO

  • Build strong relationships with Directors, Executives, staff and external stakeholders

  • Coordinate internal and external communications on behalf of the CEO

  • Support Executive Leadership Team administration and coordination

Office & Administrative Support

  • Oversee the smooth day-to-day operation of the corporate office

  • Coordinate meeting rooms, catering, office supplies and visitor logistics

  • Maintain a professional and welcoming reception experience

  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors and building management

Communications & Culture

  • Coordinate the weekly staff newsletter

  • Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives

  • Assist with internal communications and organisational events

  • Contribute to projects that support culture, collaboration and continuous improvement

Events

  • Assist with executive, Board and VIP event requirements

  • Support key organisational events and strategic initiatives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as an Executive Assistant, Executive Officer or similar senior support role

  • Experience supporting Senior Executives and Boards

  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach

  • The ability to remain calm, adaptable and professional in a fast-paced environment
