Community Services & Development

Closes 21/06/2026
North Sydney, 2060, Sydney, New South Wales
Full time
Our Youth Services program operates from a holistic, trauma-informed, and strengths-based framework, driven by a clear Theory of Change model. With a deep focus on community strengthening, wellbeing, and safety, we walk alongside young people who are navigating complex challenges or family conflict. We support them to overcome barriers, connect with their community, and achieve measurable, positive outcomes to reach their full potential.
Our ultimate objective is empowerment: supporting young people to become successful administrators of their own lives and active contributors to society.
This is a brand-new program for us, and we are incredibly excited to launch it. Because this is a fresh initiative, we are looking for an experienced Case Worker who can hit the ground running. If you are deeply passionate about young people, love the Western Sydney community, and want to help shape a new program from the ground up, we want to hear from you.
Our youth programs work from a holistic framework, understanding that crisis and vulnerability are not just the absence of practical resources. We recognise that all people have a fundamental need to be part of a wider network of support and to contribute meaningfully toward their community.
This service operates on a model of self-determination and empowerment, where the young person actively participates in determining the level and direction of support provided as part of the case management process. From the commencement of support, our goal is to work towards independence by assisting service users to establish lasting networks of care, both professional and community-based, that will serve them well into the future.
As a Youth Case Worker, you will deliver intensive, individualised casework for young people requiring targeted support. While our Youth Workers facilitate school-based programs and general community outreach, you will step in to provide short-term (up to 3 months) intensive case work intervention.
In this role, you will receive referrals from internal Youth Workers and Families Workers, local schools, and external services. A key aspect of the position is utilising our existing community outreach spaces as a "soft entry" point to engage vulnerable young people, build initial rapport, and transition them into formal casework.
Crucially, this role balances face-to-face support with the administrative side of casework. We are looking for an organised professional who is highly skilled in client management, data entry, and case note compliance to ensure our contract reporting requirements are met. You will operate independently to manage a focused average caseload of 12 clients at any one time (approx. 48 clients per year), whilst working collaboratively alongside our broader Youth and Families teams.
