Disability Support Worker (Vietnamese Female)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Vietnamese speaking female disability support worker to join our team at JC Care in Canley Vale NSW. As a casual Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised care and support to our lovely participants, at a 1:1 support ratio. The role will involve mostly community participation and assistance in daily activities and skills such as gardening, cleaning, and other domestic and personal care tasks.

Hours required

• 4 hours weekly of domestic (gardening), self care assistance and community participation. Thursday - 8 am - 12 pm. (subject to increase based on performance)
  

What you'll be doing

• Assisting participants with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

• Accompanying and supporting participants to access community services, social and recreational activities

• Developing and implementing individualised support plans to meet each participant's unique needs and goals

• Maintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure the highest standards of care

• Collaborating with the broader care team to coordinate seamless service delivery

What we're looking for

• A Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field

• Demonstrated experience in providing person-centred care and support to individuals with a range of disabilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with participants

• A compassionate, patient and flexible approach to ensure the best possible outcomes for our participants

• A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (desirable)

• An understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices
