About the Role

Invigorate Ability is seeking passionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our growing Southern Highlands team.

This role involves supporting NDIS participants through our Day Program and Community Access services, and providing personal care and daily living support as required. You will work closely with participants to build independence, develop life skills, engage with their local community, and achieve their individual goals in both 1:1 and small group settings.

We are looking for support workers who are confident in supporting participants with varying support needs, including personal care, behaviour support requirements, communication challenges, and community participation goals.

Part-time and casual positions are available. Availability across weekdays is essential, with additional opportunities available for weekends and school holiday programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred disability support within Day Programs and Community Access settings

  • Support participants with personal care, toileting, hygiene, mealtime assistance, and daily living activities

  • Facilitate meaningful community participation, including recreational, social, and skill-building activities

  • Assist participants to achieve individual NDIS goals and increase independence

  • Support participants with transport to and from activities where required

  • Follow Behaviour Support Plans, risk assessments, and support strategies

  • Maintain accurate shift notes, incident reports, and participant documentation

  • Promote participant choice, dignity, inclusion, and community engagement

  • Work collaboratively with Team Leaders, Coordinators, families, and allied health professionals

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or a related field (or be currently studying)

  • Previous experience working with people with disability

  • Confidence in providing personal care and supporting participants with complex support needs

  • A positive, proactive, and professional approach to support work

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • A current Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate

  • Working With Children Check
