Community Support Worker – Elizabeth Bay
Quality Health Care (QHC) is seeking a reliable Community Support Worker to support a male client in his 70’s living in Elizabeth Bay receiving care supports for the first time.
This person is kind-hearted in nature and this role is well suited to someone who can build trust over time and provide steady, caring supports as someone ages. The client lives with moderate dementia and Asperger’s Syndrome and enjoys his consistency and familiar routines.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Supporting daily routines while maintaining client’s independence
Community access including walking, regular cafes, grocery shopping and appointments
Personal care prompting and light assistance when required
Supporting overall wellbeing and maintaining daily routine
Building rapport and providing consistent, person-centred support
What We’re Looking For:
Experience supporting people living with dementia
Understanding of neurodiversity and person-centred practice
Ability to provide clear, simple instructions and gentle prompting
Strong communication and rapport-building skills
Confidence supporting community access and appointments
Must have a valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
Patient, reliable and consistent approach
Relevant qualification or equivalent experience preferred
