Building Contracts Administrator

The Company is a tier 2 builder with expertise in residential projects across NSW.  We are seeking an experienced site-based residential construction contract administrator to be based on site between Wollongong and Southern Highlands

The applicant we are seeking must have experience in residential projects and worked for Australian-based tier-two or tier-one builders. The role can be on contract if preferred.  You will be required to perform as a Contract Administrator and demonstrate your capabilities in the following areas:  

Procurement of trade packages which will include, procurement scheduling, tender documentation, understanding and preparation of scope of works, tender comparisons and subcontract negotiation

Head contract administration ie Head contract progress Claims, EOT’s, variations and provisional sums

Experience in cost control systems similar to Job Pac or Cheops

Subcontract administration, including Subcontractor payment schedules to statutory deadlines, variation assessments, EOT’s and general contractual correspondence

Maintaining cost and administrative controls ie cost and risk control registers

Ability to estimate/cost trade works for administrative purposes

Preparation of financial reports monthly, including project cash flow

Must have excellent communication skills with management, subcontractors and suppliers

Must have experience in D & C of residential projects

Excellent time management skills and a proven record of achieving timeframes

Qualifications and Requirements:

·         Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction, or similar

·         Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience

·         Construction Safety Induction (White) card

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

·         Strong financial analysis and administrative focus

·         Good negotiation skills

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills
