Labourer/Site Construction Worker

About the role

Working as part of a team the successful candidate will be responsible for installing and releasing demountable buildings into NSW public schools, the majority of the work will be conducted in Western Sydney region. The role requires a varied skillset from using power tools to working on roofs installing flashings, this role would suit someone with an " all round" skill base.

The work is unique and ProGroup understands that candidates will not have the required skills to complete this work at the start, but we are confident with our training that the successful candidate will acquire the necessary skills. The main skill and attribute we are searching for is a "can do" attitude, reliability, and to arrive at work ready to take the day on.

What we're looking for

• Appropriate licenses to operate machinery/construction tools (training/support will be provided where needed for licenses to be obtained within a reasonable timeframe).

• Prior experience in hands-on construction work (preferred although not essential), ideally within the building and construction industry.

• Proficiency and competency in handling construction tools, equipment, and materials.

• Understanding of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality requirements and experience applying best practices on-site.

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites across greater Sydney.

• Able to use technology and I.T systems.

• Valid White Card and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

• Ability to carry out the physical inherent requirements of the role. Medical Assessment required.
