The business is a medium sized chilled food manufacturer with 200 on site going through a period of tremendous growth. As a result of their continued expansion and volume delivery into the main multiples the business is looking for its next Quality Manager.
The Role
Utilising your Quality Coordinators you will lead a large team of Quality Control and Assurance Officers with an unwavering focus on Quality. Your ownership will cover the end to end quality function, specifically you will be responsible for:
- Leading the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Quality, Food Safety, HACCP, and Regulatory Management Systems.
- Managing site audits, customer, regulatory, and export compliance requirements.
- Overseeing customer complaints, incident investigations (NCRs), and CAPA’s
- Maintaining quality reporting and management reviews, providing insights to internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring quality documentation, training programs, and regulatory requirements remain current and compliant.
- Driving root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce recurring quality issues.
- Leading, coaching, and developing QA and QC teams, including recruitment, training and performance management.
- Monitoring CCPs and QCPs, conduct inspections, manage retention samples, and ensure accurate quality records.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain GMP standards, improve manufacturing processes, and uphold food safety requirements.
- Leading investigations into quality incidents and non-conforming products, implementing effective corrective actions.
About You
You have several years leading a large quality department within a fast paced food or drinks manufacturing environment. You hold particular expertise around developing teams and an unwavering focus on right first time quality. Your technical experience is underpinned by a hands on, calm and caring approach. You are excited and comfortable working in a dynamic and ever changing, high growth environment.
