Job Description

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Quality this role supports product compliance and quality oversight across regional partners (manufacturing, distributors, and licence holders). It acts as a link between corporate quality teams and local markets, providing targeted, risk‑based support on key areas such as batch release, document reviews, complaints, returns, temperature issues, and ensuring timely closure and ongoing inspection readiness.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support and maintain a compliant Quality Management System across China and APAC, aligned with global and local regulatory standards.
  • Assist with product registration, lifecycle management, and technical documentation, liaising with regulatory teams and partners.
  • Provide risk-based quality support across key areas (batch release, documentation, complaints, returns, temperature excursions, and labelling), driving backlog reduction and compliance.
  • Coordinate oversight of manufacturing partners and distributors, including audits, qualification, and CAPA activities.
  • Maintain quality agreements, records, and documentation to ensure audit readiness across the region.
  • Support local compliance requirements (GDP, testing, labelling) and evolving regulatory changes.
  • Track and report quality metrics, supporting continuous improvement and reducing recurring compliance issues.
  • Act as a regional quality contact, collaborating with markets, partners, and global teams to resolve product quality issues and drive process improvements.\
  • Manage Change Controls and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate product testing and contractor work orders
  • Oversee QA documentation, product approvals, and SKU release records
  • Support complaints management, technical queries, and CofA requests
  • Maintain compliance records (incl. halal) and support audits
  • Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, SOPs, and documentation

This is a full time in office role based in Warriewood on Sydney's Northern Beaches.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Chemistry, Food Science, Biological/Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.

  • Familiarity with the China regulatory framework, including NMPA requirements and Cross-Border E-Commerce (CBEC) compliance (product filings, transfer/compliance certificates, release records).
  • Demonstrated quality assurance experience in the pharmaceutical, complementary medicines, food/dairy or consumer health sector (typically 3+ years).
  • Strong documentation, record-keeping and report-writing skills, with high attention to detail.
