The Practice

SHORE is a Sydney-based integrated design-and-build practice delivering high-end residential projects across the Eastern Suburbs, Lower North Shore and Inner West. Our active pipeline includes builds in Vaucluse, Kirribilli, Drummoyne and Avalon Beach, with completed flagship projects in Bondi and Kirribilli.

We design and build under one roof. That means scopes are cleaner, drawings get to site faster, and our contracts team isn't fighting against fragmented design and construction relationships.

The Role

You'd own the contracts and procurement function across our live residential pipeline, working directly with the Construction Manager and the Directors. This isn't a back-office role. You'd be the person setting the scopes, running the tenders, locking in subcontractor agreements, and protecting margin through to handover.

Your day-to-day will include preparing scopes of works trade by trade, tendering each package to at least three subcontractors and producing like-for-like comparisons, drafting and issuing subcontract agreements through Procore, and managing contract correspondence including non-conformances, negative variations, and progress claim assessments under the NSW Security of Payment Act. You'll monitor site progress, keep procurement well ahead of program, and coordinate authority approvals as projects move through delivery.

About You

  • 3-5 years' experience as a Contracts Administrator in residential construction

  • Procore proficiency is essential. This is the platform we run on.

  • Hands-on with the NSW Security of Payment Act, progress claim assessment, and variation management

  • Comfortable holding the line with subcontractors when the contract requires it

  • Strong commercial instincts. You can spot a margin leak in a progress claim.

  • Clear, direct written communication, particularly for contractual correspondence

  • Organised enough to run multiple active contracts in parallel without dropping detail

  • Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent on-the-job experience

Why SHORE

  • A premium residential pipeline with the kind of subcontractor base that matches it

  • Direct working relationships with the Construction Manager and Directors. No layers, no politics.

  • Design and construction in one team, so contracts and scopes hold together

  • Ownership of the contracts function end-to-end, not one slot in a CA team of five

  • Pyrmont office

  • $85K-$110K + super depending on experience
