Demolition Plus are a professional commercial interior strip-out and structural demolition contractor, servicing Sydney and its surrounds for more than 20 years. We take great pride in our work and strive to provide the highest quality commercial demolition service possible.

Demolition Plus is seeking a new Demolition Foreperson and Trainee Foreperson. Both of these roles will require hands on work, so you can't be shy with getting your hands dirty.


About the role

Demolition Foreperson 

The role involves coordinating and communicating with a demolition workforce and various trades on site. Reporting to the management team to ensure quality, efficiency and compliance of all projects. This is a great opportunity to leverage your demolition experience while taking your next career step.

Duties will involve:

  • Ensuring demolition works are completed within time constraints

  • Managing project budgets

  • Maintaining a high standard of work and ensuring adherence to company quality and safety practices

  • Facilitating effective communication between on-site teams and management

  • Providing training and mentorship to Demolition Workers and Trainee Forepersons

  • Carrying out demolition work, as this is a hands-on role 

About You - Must Have's

  • Minimum 1 year of experience managing a team on a construction site in Australia (5-20 persons)

  • Minimum 3 years in demolition

  • Silica Awareness Training and be willing to be clean shaved for silica mask fit testing

  • CPCCWHS2001 - Apply WHS requirements, policies & procedures in the construction industry

  • CPCCDE3030 - Identify hazards on demolition sites and apply risk management strategies

  • Full Australian working rights

  • Proficiency with computer systems 

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Determined and committed work ethic

  • Experience operating excavators, skid steers and forklifts, and managing sites utilising these machines.

  • Experience with slab penetrations, propping and structural demolition

  • Unrestricted and Restricted Supervisors ticket highly regarded 

  • Any other plant tickets/Vocs highly regarded

  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking

Trainee Foreperson 

Duties will involve:

  • Assisting the on-site Foreperson in the general day to day running of the site - safety walks, running a crew of workers, pre-starts, toolbox talks

  • Running small strip out jobs

  • Carrying out demolition work

About You - Must Have's:

  • Minimum 1 year experience managing a team on a construction site in Australia

  • Minimum 1 year of experience doing demolition work

  • Silica Awareness Training and be willing to be clean shaved for silica mask fit testing

  • CPCCWHS2001 - Apply WHS requirements, policies & procedures in the construction industry

  • CPCCDE3030 - Identify hazards on demolition sites and apply risk management strategies
