We're Alignr, a modern recruitment partner helping ambitious businesses hire smarter and scale faster.
This time, we're partnering exclusively with a fast-growing environmental construction and consultancy business delivering landscape, ecology, and civil projects across Sydney. They have grown year on year, and are not stopping there!
This is a business where people stay, grow, and take on more as the company evolves. If you want a role where your work actually matters and your future isn't capped, this is the one.
Are you looking for…
- A pure on-site role where you lead sites end-to-end without someone breathing down your neck?
- A business that's genuinely growing — new projects, new opportunities, real career runway?
- The chance to work directly with a director who's respected, switched on, and backs their people?
- A company that runs on systems and technology without losing the hands-on, get-it-done culture?
- A Ford Ranger as part of your package — not a perk, just standard?
What's in it for you -
Attractive salary: $90,000–$120,000 Base + Super + Ford Ranger (not bad!) + Fuel Card + Etag
- Work with a brilliant director who knows the industry inside out and supports their team
- Real autonomy — trusted to lead on-site without being micromanaged
- Growing business with serious momentum — more projects means more opportunity
- Technology-forward business — systems and tools that actually make your life easier
- Early starts, early finishes — 7am to 3:30pm
- Long-term play — people here don't just stay in one role, they grow with the business
The Company
This is an environmental construction and consultancy business delivering ecological restoration, bush regeneration, commercial landscape, creek realignments, biobasins, and civil works across Sydney.
Growing year on year. The leadership team has a clear strategy and is actively investing in people, project streams, and capability. This isn't a business in maintenance mode — it's building something. The people joining now are the ones who'll grow into senior roles as it scales.
The team
You'll report into the Project Manager and work closely with a small, tight leadership team.
The culture here is autonomous and outcome-driven. You're given the trust and the tools to get on with it — no micromanagement, no hand-holding. The director is hands-on, highly respected, and genuinely invested in the people around them.
Early starts, clear expectations, and a team that just gets on with it.
What you'll do
Site Leadership & Delivery
- Lead and manage site staff, trades, and subcontractors across active commercial landscape projects
- Review project plans and flag scheduling issues, cost savings opportunities, and potential problems early
- Forecast operational requirements and keep delivery on track
Commercial & Administration - Cost control, monitoring, and variation reporting in conjunction with the Project Manager
- Ordering materials, quantity take-offs, and scheduling
- Completion of daily diaries and all required project documentation
Quality & Compliance - Regular auditing of workmanship to ensure conformance to requirements
- Maintain safety compliance across all site staff and subcontractors
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve site issues
Who we're looking for - Trade certification or equivalent in landscape or a related field
- 5+ years in a foreman or site management role within commercial landscaping
- Proven experience managing crews, subbies, and budgets across commercial projects
- Comfortable with projects in the $500k–$2M+ range
- Strong on documentation — daily diaries, quality plans, variation reporting to clients and management
- Tech-savvy — this business runs on systems and expects people to use them
- Sydney-based and comfortable working across multiple sites
Who this isn't for ❌ Anyone who needs hand-holding or heavy structure to operate

❌ People who resist technology or see paperwork as someone else's job
❌ Anyone not comfortable with fully onsite, early-start commitment
Must-haves - 5+ years in a commercial landscape foreman or site management role
