About the role
Bankstown Childcare Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated degree holder in Early Childhood Education from a recognised University (as listed on the approved qualification list by ACECQA) This is a full-time position at Punchbowl NSW centre. Early childhood Teacher plays a vital role in providing high-quality care, education and support to children during their early developmental years.
Key responsibilities
1. ECT - Be responsible for management of the day-to-day operation of the assigned room, including providing leadership and support to educators and staff within the team in line with relevant regulations, policies and procedures
2. Educational leader for preschool room - assist with the development, implementation and reflection of the educational program to provide a high-quality program for all children and families
3. Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, staff and management to deliver best outcomes for families and children
4. Maintain teaching registration/accreditation if required (check state/territory requirements)
What you'll be doing
Planning and delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate early childhood education programs for children aged 3-5 years
Implementing the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards to provide exceptional care and learning experiences
Building strong, positive relationships with children, families and the wider community
Observing and documenting children's learning and development to inform future programming
Collaborating with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practices and the educational environment
Ensuring a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment at all times
Maintain teaching registration/accreditation if required (check state/territory requirements
What we're looking for
Demonstrated experience as Early childhood Teacher ( ECT) in the early childhood education sector, ideally 2+ years
Strong knowledge of child development, early learning pedagogies and the regulatory framework
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families and the team
A passion for supporting young children's learning, development and wellbeing
A commitment to continuous professional development and improvement
Current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification
