About the Role

MIHELP is seeking a capable, organised and relationship-focused family & educator coordinator to support the delivery of high-quality In Home Care (IHC) services. The successful applicant will work closely with families, educators, management and external stakeholders to coordinate placements, monitor service quality, support compliance and contribute to workforce recruitment and retention. Flexible working arrangements may be available, and working from home is preferred.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

·        Coordinate placements between families and educators, including intake, matching, commencement and ongoing changes.

·        Build and maintain professional relationships with families and educators, ensuring responsive communication and timely follow-up.

·        Recruit, screen, onboard and support educators, including collecting documents, reference checks and induction coordination.

·        Coordinate with the State Support Agency and other relevant stakeholders regarding educator support, training, inclusion and service development.

·        Monitor educator performance, qualifications, study progression, fitness for work and ongoing compliance requirements.

·        Support home visit planning, service monitoring, risk management, incident follow-up and quality improvement activities.

·        Maintain accurate records relating to families, educators, enrolments, compliance, incidents and service delivery.

·        Assist with Child Care Subsidy and In Home Care administrative processes, documentation and reporting.

·        Provide practical support and guidance to educators on policies, procedures, child safety and professional practice expectations.

·        Work collaboratively with management to identify service needs, staffing gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Selection Criteria

·        Relevant qualification in early childhood education, community services, business administration or social work, together with passion for working with families with young children with developmental delays or disabilities.

·        Demonstrated experience in coordination, recruitment, administration or service delivery within education and care, community or family services.

·        Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills.

·        Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain accurate records (high accuracy in data entry).

·        Sound understanding of child safety, confidentiality and professional boundaries.

·        Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced service environment.

·        Current Working With Children Check and any other required background checks.

Desirable

·        Experience in Centre Based Care, OSHC, IHC, FDC, CCS administration or educator workforce coordination.

·        Experience liaising with government, State Support Agency or sector partners.

·        Knowledge of the IHC National Guidelines and CCS requirements.

·        Mandarin speaking preferred.
