Qualified Early Childhood Educator

Mangrove Mountain, Central Coast NSW | Full-time | Community-based childcare centre

About the Opportunity

Are you a qualified Early Childhood Educator who loves helping children learn, grow and explore the world around them?

CCGT is recruiting on behalf of Mountain Community Children’s Centre, a warm and welcoming community-based Early Childhood Education and Care Centre located in beautiful Mangrove Mountain, in the Central Coast hinterland.

For 43 years, the centre has supported children aged 0 to 5 years and their families across Mangrove Mountain and surrounding communities. With a relaxed rural setting, a dedicated team and a strong community feel, this is a great opportunity to join a workplace where children, families and educators are genuinely valued.

This is a full-time role, working 38 hours per week with Rostered Days Off (RDOs).

What You'll Be Doing

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will help create a safe, fun and nurturing environment where children feel supported to play, learn and develop.

Your day may include:
  • Supporting children aged 0 to 5 years with their learning and development
  • Creating engaging play-based learning experiences
  • Building positive relationships with children, families and educators
  • Supporting daily routines, including meals, rest time, transitions and outdoor play
  • Encouraging children’s curiosity, confidence and independence
  • Contributing to observations, documentation and learning programs
  • Helping maintain a safe, inclusive and child-focused environment
  • Participating in centre and community events
  • Working as part of a supportive and experienced educator team

What We're Looking For

To be considered, you will need:
  • Minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working as an Educator
  • Current HLTAID012 Education and Care First Aid, with at least 12 months before expiry
  • Current Working With Children Check

  • Confidence using Microsoft programs such as Word and PowerPoint
  • A positive attitude and willingness to show initiative
  • Ability to work collaboratively with children, families and the educator team
  • Driver’s licence and own transport, recommended due to the centre’s location and limited public transport
Experience in any education setting will be considered.

What You'll Gain

This role offers the chance to be part of a long-standing, not-for-profit community centre where all profits go back into the centre for the children.
You will receive:
  • Full-time employment with RDOs
  • Children’s Services Award conditions, CSE Level 3, 4 or 5 depending on qualification level
  • 5% above award rates
  • Federal Government ECE Worker Retention Payments, where applicable
