Engineering Technologist

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Engineering Technologist to support the technical and operational activities of our organisation. This is a full-time position suited to a practical and detail-oriented professional with strong engineering knowledge.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and implementation of engineering projects and processes. Task & responsibilities

• Analyse and evaluate new and existing engineering technologies to improve performance and efficiency.
• Apply engineering principles and technologies in the design, testing, and implementation of projects.
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring engineering operations and processes.
• Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, and prepare reports with recommendations.
• Support engineers in developing, testing, and commissioning systems, equipment, or processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-effective technical solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and records of engineering activities.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and engineering best practices relevant to the field.

Qualification & experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering-related discipline .
• Qualification should include engineering principles, applied mathematics, technical design, and practical project work.
• Registration or licensing may be required depending on the discipline and local regulations.
• Practical experience in applying engineering technologies to analyse, test, and implement projects and operational processes.
• Experience in preparing technical reports, conducting feasibility studies, and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders.
• Proven ability to identify improvements and implement cost-effective technical solutions.
