Systems Engineer

Who we're looking for…

Someone with excellent technical and communication skills that is also enthusiastic. In addition, we need someone who loves to be organised and enjoys giving attention to detail. You will be joining the team responsible for supporting users of our Cloud and Managed infrastructure .

Your Background.....

You will have a Bachelor degree in Information Technology

A minimum of 3-5 years systems engineering experience and be eager to shine at a higher level

You will have worked in an MSP and be able to hit the ground running

Previous experience working in any MSP environment is essential to ensure you can adapt quickly to our service delivery model

Strong communication and documentation skills, both internal and external, with an attention to detail

Exposure and experience working on Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware technologies and Windows server OS from 2016 – 2025

Hands-on configuration experience with Microsoft Hyper-V is required for virtualisation management tasks

vSphere administration experience is essential for managing our VMware infrastructure

Exposure and experience with M365 security stack

Fundamental understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, Networking

Exposure to service desk ticketing systems

Ideally but not essential, you will have:
• ITIL Certification
• Microsoft Certification

The role….

You will have wide scope to let your troubleshooting and customer service skills shine

You will be managing and taking responsibility for escalated L1/L2 tickets

You will be mentoring & guiding L1/L2 engineers to resolve incidents

Day to day you will be working on both BAU and Projects

Progress to senior system engineer role within the Infrastructure team in the future. A full-time position providing a negotiable salary, dependent on previous experience, plus superannuation. You will report to the Head of IT.
