Junior Electrical Estimator

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in electrical estimating, project costing, and tender preparation within a supportive and experienced environment.

Working closely with our senior estimators and project managers, you will assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for a range of commercial, industrial, and residential electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of electrical tenders and cost estimates.

• Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.

• Perform quantity take-offs and material take-offs.

• Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.

• Maintain estimating databases and pricing schedules.

• Support the preparation of tender submissions and project proposals.

• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

• Assist with project handovers to operations teams following successful tenders.

• Ensure estimates are completed accurately and within required deadlines.

About You

• Electrical trade qualification, electrical apprenticeship, or relevant technical education preferred.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Eagerness to learn and develop a career in estimating.

• Previous experience in the electrical industry is advantageous but not essential.
