Experienced Dental/Medical Receptionist

The opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our team for the long term. This position is a permanent casual role (3 days per week), with the opportunity for additional hours in the future for the right applicant.

This role would suit an experienced dental or medical receptionist who enjoys building relationships with patients and being part of a small, supportive team. We are looking for someone seeking stable, long-term employment rather than a short-term position.

 You would be a key team member working within the practice, providing high quality customer service to all patients.  This role will see you managing a busy front desk reception, welcoming patients to the Centre, supporting our dental prosthetists as well as general administration duties. The role is primarily based at our Killarney Vale clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, with occasional shifts required at our Umina clinic.

As a small team, reliability and commitment are essential. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys helping people and is committed to becoming a valued long-term member of the practice.

No weekend work or public holidays. Applicant must be able to work during school holidays.

General tasks will include:

·         Patient management; greeting and welcoming patients, answering all phone inquiries, making & confirming appointments; checking, processing & managing customer accounts and quotes

·         Preparations for patient appointments; treatment after-care instructions, forms, etc.

·         Communicate with prosthetists regarding patients' treatment schedules.

·         Monitor and restock office supplies as required.

. General cleaning/tidying of the practice.

What we're looking for

·         Previous experience in a dental, medical or health reception role is highly regarded. Experience using practice management software and managing patient appointments will be viewed favourably.

·         Strong computer skills

·         The ability to communicate kindly and effectively with colleagues, patients and their families

·         Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

·         The ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and a genuine desire to learn and develop.
