About the role
Our busy GP clinic in Rozelle, Sydney, is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and empathetic Medical Receptionist to work on a casual basis.
You will perform a variety of administrative tasks and have full working rights in Australia with no restrictions.
Please only apply if you are able to:
do 2 to 3 days a week – to include one day in the weekend, a Saturday or Sunday
have flexibility to cover staff on leave
work Thursdays in the short term and Mondays
What you'll be doing
Greeting and welcoming patients with a friendly and professional manner
Scheduling and managing patient appointments, ensuring efficient flow
Handling patient enquiries and providing accurate information
Assisting with patient registration and data entry
Maintaining a clean and organised reception area
Providing support to the medical team as needed
Ensuring compliance with medical administration policies and procedures
About you
You will thrive working in a busy environment, problem solving and multi-tasking. You will possess good customer service skills and a high level of attention to detail when it comes to accuracy and sensitivity in handling patient information. Your phone manner is always pleasant, you communicate clearly over the phone, and you show care to others. You enjoy working in a team environment, are adaptable to changing workflow and are process orientated.
Our clinic is open from 8am-6pm weekdays and 9am-1pm on weekends.
There are a range of shifts that are rostered on a rotating basis, with the earliest shift commencing at 7.30am and the latest shift finishing at 6.30pm.
The ideal candidate will have
flexibility to accommodate the above rotating shifts
experience in a medical reception role
Best Practice experience preferred, although not essential
a love of a fast-paced, busy environment
