Ryde Family Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and professional General Practice team.

We are passionate about combining exceptional medical care with good front desk service that makes every patient feel valued and cared for. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for providing a high standard of patient engagement and service, managing appointments, handling inquiries, and supporting our doctors and other staff. A part-time or casual position has now become available offering a flexible 15-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Work professionally with medical practitioners, other staff and stakeholders at the medical centre.

• Duties include all aspects of medical reception, liaising with patients, doctors and allied allied health professionals.

• Good communication and interpersonal abilities, able to follow doctors' requests and work instructions, and work to required high standards.

• Accurate record keeping and data entry of patient info, retrieve, update & file computer medical records and results.

• Warmly greet patients and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit.

Attributes & experience

• General Practice medical receptionist experience required for this role.

• High level proficiency in using GP medical software is required.

• Communicate with patients in an effective and caring manner with good interpersonal skills for working with patients and staff.

• Be computer literate, must be familiar with Microsoft Windows, printers and other equipment.

• Good telephone skills, communicate clearly and be empathetic to patients.

• Must have very good work ethics.

• Must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
