Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.
We are seeking a motivated Clinical Coder to join our Health Information and Record Service.
In this role, you will be responsible for the coding of inpatient episodes of care in an accurate and timely manner. Your diligence and attention to detail will be crucial to ensure that you perform your duties in accordance with the Australian Coding Standards and other relevant documents. The Clinical Coder role is also an opportunity for you to contribute to maintaining ethical coding practice as well as for you to participate in quality-related activities.
Candidates must have evidence of extensive clinical coding experience in a major trauma hospital and have proven coding accuracy of 95% or higher. Please note that the recruitment for this position will involve a face-to-face interview as well as a practical coding exam.
