Psychologist - Aged Care

Transform Life Psychology is the dedicated psychology service line within Transform Life — a national allied health team supporting people across Australia, including remote and rural communities.

Our Psychology team are looking for a Registered Psychologist to support a diverse client group through a blend of telehealth from home and face-to-face local sessions on the Central Coast.

This role can be full-time or part-time and is offered as an employed position, providing the stability of income and benefits of employment, including superannuation, professional development, a PD allowance, supervision, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the opportunity to grow with a clinician-led national team.

You’ll have flexibility to shape your caseload around your interests, experience, and clinical strengths however part of this role will be supporting older Australians in their homes under Support at Home care packages, helping clients maintain independence, wellbeing, connection, and quality of life.

This role may suit psychologists with experience supporting clients with:

• Depression or low mood
• Anxiety, fear, or adjustment to declining health
• Grief, bereavement, and loss of independence
• Social isolation and loneliness
• Dementia, cognitive change, or memory-related distress
• Behavioural or emotional changes
• Trauma resurfacing later in life
• Chronic pain or illness
• Maintaining engagement and quality of life

• Enjoy a blend of telehealth and face to face work
• Love working with older clients 
• Are organised, self-directed, and comfortable managing your own diary 
• Value flexibility and autonomy
• Value a reliable income and continuity of work
• Are comfortable working toward weekly billable hours and balancing clinical work with documentation 
• Prefer collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including OTs, Speech Pathologists, and Behaviour Support Practitioners
• Understand the benefits of staying connected with your team and engaging in peer discussions and supervision

• AHPRA registration as a General Psychologist
• Medicare Provider Number
• Ability to work from home combined with some face-to-face local work
• Full Australian work rights
• Full driver’s licence and reliable car
