Sweet Spot Café is looking for an experienced Senior Barista / Café All-Rounder to join our growing team in Gymea.

We're a local neighbourhood café and dessert bar known for great coffee, delicious food and desserts, and friendly customer service. As we continue to grow, we're looking for someone who is passionate about coffee, enjoys working with people, and is happy to be part of all aspects of café operations.

We are reasonably flexible with days and rostering, however this role is ideally suited to someone looking for a full-time position (approximately 38 hours per week).

Please note: We are also recruiting for a Casual Barista position (minimum two days availability per week). Please refer to our separate job advertisement if you're seeking casual work.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in the day-to-day running of the café, including:

• Preparing consistently high-quality espresso coffee and milk-based beverages

• Taking customer orders and operating the POS system

• Assisting with simple food preparation, desserts, soft serve, shakes and presentation

• Opening and closing the café when required

• Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming environment

• Supporting junior team members and helping lead service during busy periods

• Contributing to a positive team culture and great customer experience

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Senior Barista or experienced Barista

• Strong coffee-making skills, including espresso extraction and milk texturing

• Friendly, professional and customer-focused attitude

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with basic food handling and preparation (or willingness to learn)

• Reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work

• Available to work a mix of weekday and weekend shifts
