Cronulla RSL is seeking an experienced, approachable and detail-focused Human Resources Manager to support our team and help maintain a positive, compliant and engaging workplace culture.
This Part Time role will oversee day-to-day HR functions across the Club, support managers with practical people advice, and ensure HR systems, records, policies and procedures remain current, effective and aligned with legislative requirements.
The successful applicant will play an important role in recruitment, onboarding, online training, employee relations, staff engagement, and the ongoing development of a professional and supportive team culture.
The role will have the following responsibilitiesManaging recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, including contracts, position descriptions, orientation and termination administration
Overseeing the Club’s online training system, including staff enrolments, learning plan development, completion tracking, reporting and training records
Maintaining legislative HR policies and procedures, including the Staff Handbook and key employment-related compliance processes
Supporting managers with performance management, employee relations and workplace investigations, escalating matters where required
Maintaining accurate employee records and completing general HR administration as required
Managing the staff recognition and rewards program and supporting broader staff engagement initiatives
Liaising with Finance and Payroll regarding employee changes, payroll information, award interpretation and related matters
Coordinating HR involvement in WHS Committee matters, staff communication, uniforms and other HR-related operational requirements
Demonstrated HR generalist experience, ideally within a Club, hospitality or customer service environment
Strong understanding of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and relevant modern awards
Experience using HR, payroll, rostering or online training systems, with confidence maintaining accurate records and reports
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong discretion, empathy and professional judgement
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
Ability to build trusted relationships and provide practical support to managers and employees
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience
Practical experience across recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee relations
Current understanding of Australian employment legislation and workplace compliance obligations
High level of confidentiality, professionalism and sound judgement
Positive, people-focused attitude and a genuine interest in supporting a strong team culture
