Position Overview:As a Butcher and Smallgoods Maker at Fettayleh, you will be an essential part of our high-performing production team, responsible for crafting premium halal beef, lamb, chicken, and smallgoods products. Working within our modern manufacturing plant, you will handle large-scale preparation and processing tasks to meet the needs of our wholesale clients, including leading supermarkets, butchers, and foodservice providers. This is a hands-on production role, focused on maintaining strict quality, safety, and halal certification standards.&nbsp;&nbsp; <h3>Benefits</h3>Competitive Remuneration, opportunities for growth.&nbsp; <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3>Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Operate and maintain industrial meat processing tools and machinery, including mincers, grinders, mixers, sausage fillers, smoking chambers, cooking kettles, and packaging lines, ensuring safe and efficient usage.</li><li>Apply Fettayleh’s proprietary spice blends, marinades, and curing methods to enhance product flavour and consistency, following established production procedures.</li><li>Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily output targets, manage workflow, and minimise waste, ensuring production runs smoothly to meet wholesale demand.</li><li>Conduct routine quality control checks throughout all production stages to ensure compliance with Fettayleh’s halal certification requirements, HACCP food safety standards, and internal quality benchmarks.</li><li>Produce Fettayleh’s diverse range of halal-certified smallgoods, including beef and lamb sausages, frankfurts, salamis, cured meats, and marinated cuts, maintaining consistency and product integrity.</li><li>Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe work environment by following all workplace health and safety regulations, food safety protocols, and halal practices.</li><li>Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities, staying informed about Fettayleh’s new product lines, compliance updates, and operational improvements.</li><li>Skilfully process beef, lamb, and chicken, including trimming, deboning, portioning, and mincing, to meet wholesale specifications and production schedules.</li></ul>&nbsp; <h3>Qualification & experience</h3>Work Experience Requirements:<ul><li>At least one year of full-time (or equivalent) employment in a similar position within meat processing, smallgoods production, or a related field.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Certificate IV in butchery, meat processing, or a related field; or</li><li>Equivalent overseas qualification; or</li><li>A minimum of two years of full-time (or equivalent) work experience* in a similar position in lieu of formal qualifications&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;*Work Experience in lieu of qualification includes and is not in addition to the minimum required Work Experience of one year.&nbsp;
