We partner with leading brands, rights holders and broadcasters to design and execute premium live events, while also producing our own major ticketed event series.
Our owned and operated properties include Night at The Barracks and Night at The Parkland - large-scale, multi-week outdoor concert series that bring world-class artists to unique locations, combining premium hospitality, high-end production and elevated fan experiences.

THE ROLE
NB; Even though the roles title is Production Manager we are looking for someone who has experience and is happy to work across both Production and Site Management
The Production Manager role is based in our Manly office, a short walk from the beach.

Leave: 4 weeks annual leave
Hours: Monday–Friday, approx. 9am–6pm
(Event industry hours apply - including nights, weekends, and travel interstate/international as required.)
PROJECTS & SCOPE
Second Sunday delivers a diverse slate of projects across agency and promoter work.
Clients & projects include:
ARIAs, AACTA Awards, Monster Energy, Sail GP, Rugby Australia, Toyota, Coca Cola, Jurassic Park, Magic Mike Live, X Games and more.
Promoter arm:
We produce large-scale ticketed events and touring series, including:
Night at The Barracks - premium outdoor concert series featuring international and Australian artists
Night at The Parkland - a growing live music experience in Brisbane
These projects involve full site builds, complex stakeholder environments, multi-night programming, hospitality overlays and broadcast integration.
You’ll be working across both client-led projects and owned IP - giving exposure to the full lifecycle of event production, from pitch to delivery.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Production Manager will support the Head of Production and Event Manager across all phases:
Business Development and Pitching
Pre-production
Bump-in / live delivery
Bump-out / post-event
You will play a key role in delivering both agency projects and major owned event series, with increasing responsibility across planning, supplier management and on-site execution.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who wants to be deeply involved in the delivery of high-quality, large-scale events.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PRE-PRODUCTION & EVENT DELIVERY
Assist in planning and execution of all operational aspects of events
Appoint and manage production suppliers (lighting, audio, video, staging, comms, pyro)
Develop and version-control:
Site plans
Floor plans
Technical drawings
Build and manage production schedules and run sheets
Coordinate transport and logistics across multi-site events
Liaise with venues and key stakeholders including but not limited:
Government departments
Landowners and trusts
Venue operators
Manage booking of infrastructure and event overlay
Assist in building production crews and staffing plans
Prepare and manage:
Permits
Licences
Traffic Management Plans (TMPs)
Event documentation
Support accreditation planning
Coordinate with:
Broadcast teams (where applicable)
Security, safety and risk teams
Police and emergency services
Provide operational support across:
Sponsorship activations
Media and PR
Marketing deliverables
Act as key liaison for venue technical teams
Manage artist technical requirements and liaise with touring parties
TECHINCAL DRAWINGS
MUST be proficient in Vectorworks with ability to produce both 2D and 3D plans
Able to manage drawings using VW ProjectShare
Proficient in both 2D and 3D sketch up drawings
We would like to see someone who is open to developing workflows to use AI to both increase the quality and reduce the time needed in producing renders. This isn’t just typing prompts into ChatGPT it is thinking about integrating solid technical drawings into modern technology to develop realistic and achievable renders to help in production planning and sales decks
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
Liaise with clients as directed
Attend WIP meetings and internal planning sessions
Participate in site visits and stakeholder meetings
Contribute to pitches and new business opportunities

Confident supplier and stakeholder management
Ability to operate both in planning phases and under live event pressure
Contribution to the continued growth of Second Sunday’s owned event portfolio, including flagship series like Night at The Barracks and Night at The Parkland
