Product Engineer

We’re looking for a Product Engineer to join our Engineering Team. This person can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. They will provide technical expertise to identify and implement the most suitable KONE product solutions to meet our customers’ needs.

• Find and implement optimal technical solutions to meet customer needs.
• Involved in supply line, installation, maintenance and project management to understand materials and service cost of the product when needed.
• Provide advanced technical solutions to support Sales, CSE teams, and customer inquiries.
• Maintain product specifications for corporate and local materials.
• Propose solutions for all KONE business lines.
• Ensure proposed product fulfills local codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Ensure planned product complies with KONE’s Engineering Policy.
• Support rollout of new product releases, including documentation, local materials and training of sales and installation teams.
• Develop understanding of traffic and energy calculations using corporate tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Holistic understanding of different building types and customer segments.
• Excellent skills in understanding and translating customer needs into technical specifications.
• Ability to work with codes and standards in a regulated environment.
• Good knowledge of environmental and sustainability requirements and norms.
• Basic knowledge of competitors’ technical solutions.
