We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Telecommunications Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, testing, and maintaining our organization's communication networks. You will work closely with our IT and support teams to resolve connectivity outages and ensure highly reliable systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network Installation: Run, terminate, and splice voice and data cables; build distribution racks; and install equipment like routers, switches, and PBX systems.
  • Testing & Diagnostics: Conduct signal and circuit tests to isolate faults, verify operational standards, and identify system problems.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot connectivity outages, replace damaged components, and ensure smooth integration of peripheral devices.
  • System Documentation: Update network configuration diagrams, label cables, and log repair reports for future reference.
  • Technical Support: Listen to employee/customer concerns, resolve on-site technical issues, and ensure proper setup upon delivery.

Requirements & Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Telecommunications Technician or similar role.
  • Strong background in electronics, data communications, telephony, and network management.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools like LAN testers and power meters.
  • Ability to work with both commercial and residential wiring (Cat6, OFC, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and customer service skills.

Pay: $54,387.05 – $105,150.04 per year
