About Cornerstone Health

Cornerstone Health operates 16 comprehensive medical centres, delivering services across general practice, dental, radiology and allied health. With more than 20 years’ experience in primary healthcare, we support leading clinicians in delivering quality care through modern systems, structures and culture. We are at the beginning of an exciting AI programme that will transform how we deliver care to over 2.3 million patients a year.

About the role

As our Senior Infrastructure & Security Engineer, you will own the Essential Eight compliance programme, lead the migration from on-premises Active Directory to Microsoft Entra ID, deploy and manage Intune across our endpoint estate, and ensure every site in our network is securely connected and operationally sound.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role. You will set the standard for how we engineer, document, and operate infrastructure, and you will lead others by example.

This is a fully office-based role located in North Sydney (above the station). Candidates must be willing and able to work on-site full-time.

What you’ll do

  • Driving Essential Eight maturity uplift across the organisation, owning the controls, not just reporting on them.

  • Leading the AD-to-Entra ID migration, including hybrid join, device sync, and cloud-native identity architecture.

  • Deploying and operating Microsoft Intune at scale across Windows, macOS, and mobile endpoints.

  • Owning network architecture and site connectivity across 16 distributed medical centres, including telco relationships.

  • Implementing and managing Microsoft Defender across endpoints, identity, and cloud workloads.

  • Setting security baselines, conditional access policies, and privileged access frameworks.

  • Managing vulnerability remediation, patching cycles, and incident response.

  • Supporting new site rollouts, building the standard, then executing it repeatedly.

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • 5+ years in infrastructure, systems, or security engineering with real delivery accountability, not just support.

  • Proven, hands-on Essential Eight experience: you have implemented controls, tracked maturity, and defended your choices.

  • Demonstrated Entra ID migration experience, from design through to production.

  • Strong Intune deployment skills: enrolment, configuration profiles, compliance, and app management.

  • Solid networking skills: VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPN, and multi-site LAN/WAN.

  • Experience managing telco services and multi-site connectivity in a distributed organisation.

  • A structured, documentation-oriented engineering mindset.

Highly regarded

  • Healthcare experience is highly valued and will be given significant weight in the selection process

  • Familiarity with AWS environments and multi-cloud security patterns.

  • Linux administration experience

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications

Why join us

  • A genuinely exciting infrastructure transformation, not steady-state BAU

  • A small, high-trust team with real technical ownership

  • Purpose-driven culture with a genuine focus on patient outcomes

  • Conveniently located in North Sydney (above the train station)

  • Work that directly contributes to improving healthcare access for all Australians
