The Role

We're seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales growth in your assigned region. You'll balance day-to-day sales operations with strategic business development while implementing our growth strategy.

This is a high-impact role with clear growth potential. Proven performers have opportunities to expand into multi-territory management or senior positions within Vogelsang's growing Australian operations.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Develop and execute regional sales strategies with clear targets and KPIs

·         Manage the complete sales pipeline and day-to-day customer engagement in your territory

·         Build and maintain relationships with existing customers while actively prospecting for new business

·         Conduct site visits to understand customer needs and demonstrate tailored solutions

·         Prepare technical proposals and manage contract negotiations with prospects

·         Represent Vogelsang at industry networking events and trade shows

·         Maintain accurate sales forecasts and report on pipeline progress to management

·         Execute targeted growth initiatives aligned with company strategy

·         Develop deep product knowledge and provide market insights to support product and service development

·         Collaborate with internal teams (product, engineering, admin) to ensure customer satisfaction and delivery

Essential Qualifications:

·         Proven experience in external B2B sales (minimum 2+ years)

·         Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of fluid mechanics principles

·         Excellent communication and negotiation skills

·         Self-motivated, strategic mindset with strong business acumen

·         Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites

·         Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and sales reporting tools

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Engineering or business degree

·         Experience in biogas, wastewater, mining, or oil and gas industry sectors

·         Track record of exceeding sales targets

·         Knowledge of industrial equipment or machinery sectors

·         Experience managing key accounts and complex B2B negotiations
