DESIGN ARCHITECT / DESIGN LEAD

We are seeking an experienced Design Architect / Design Lead to join our Sydney studio.

This role is focused exclusively on design leadership, feasibility studies, concept design and Development Applications. You will work closely with the Directors to drive design quality across residential, mixed-use and childcare projects.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys creating great architecture, solving planning challenges and leading projects from inception through approval.

• Lead feasibility studies and concept design investigations
• Develop residential, mixed-use and childcare projects through DA
• Prepare and review site analysis, yield studies and planning strategies
• Lead ADG, SEPP and planning compliance reviews

• Present concepts and design proposals to clients
• Participate in pre-DA meetings and authority discussions
• Assist with urban design and planning responses

• Lead internal design reviews
• Mentor design staff and graduates
• Assist in developing design standards and presentation quality
• Promote design excellence across the studio

• Prepare high-quality design presentations
• Direct CGI, sketch and visual communication outputs
• Assist in developing project narratives and design reports

• Registered Architect preferred
• Minimum 8–15 years experience
• Strong residential and mixed-use design experience
• Excellent ADG and planning knowledge
• Strong Archicad capability
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Demonstrated design leadership experience
