Reporting Business Analyst - SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) - Up to $1100 a day

We are partnering with a large enterprise organisation undergoing a significant SAP transformation program to appoint an experienced Reporting Business Analyst to support the evolution of reporting and analytics capabilities across SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC).

Location: North Sydney
Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days WFH
Day Rate: $900–$1,100 per day incl. super
Contract Duration: 12 months with strong likelihood of extension

This is a key role within a high-profile transformation initiative focused on modernising enterprise reporting, rationalising legacy reporting assets, and delivering future-state analytics solutions leveraging SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP reporting technologies.

The Opportunity

As the Reporting Business Analyst, you will work closely with business stakeholders, reporting teams, architects, and program leadership to define reporting requirements, support reporting governance, and guide the transition from legacy reporting platforms to modern SAP analytics solutions.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring reporting outcomes align with business objectives, SAP best practices, and future-state architecture while helping drive reporting simplification, governance, and adoption across the organisation.

This role is ideally suited to a seasoned Business Analyst with strong SAP reporting and analytics experience who can confidently engage stakeholders, navigate complex reporting landscapes, and deliver outcomes within large-scale transformation environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document current and future-state reporting requirements
• Evaluate and document data mapping requirements, identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Support the transition of reporting and analytics capabilities to SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and priorities
• Lead reporting rationalisation activities, identifying opportunities to simplify and standardise reporting assets
• Ensure reporting solutions align with SAP best practices, governance standards, and clean core principles
• Collaborate with reporting, data, architecture, and delivery teams to manage dependencies and drive successful outcomes
• Support reporting governance frameworks and promote consistent reporting practices across the organisation
• Contribute to testing, cutover planning, business readiness, and go-live activities
• Assist in safeguarding critical reporting operations throughout the transformation lifecycle
• Work closely with platform owners, SMEs, and delivery partners to ensure successful solution design and implementation

• 6+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst specialising in reporting and analytics within SAP environments
• Strong experience across SAP reporting platforms including SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BW, and SAP CDS Views
• Proven experience supporting reporting transformation initiatives involving SAP S/4HANA environments
• Strong understanding of enterprise reporting, analytics, and data governance practices
• Experience working with financial reporting, planning, budgeting, or accounting-related data domains
• Ability to analyse complex reporting landscapes and drive simplification and standardisation initiatives
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering skills
• Experience working across both business and technology teams within large transformation programs
• Strong documentation, workshop facilitation, and communication skills
• Experience with Power BI, SAP BTP, or embedded analytics will be highly regarded

• Australian Citizenship is required due to the nature of the data and program environment
• Ability to obtain Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance if required during the engagement
