If you’re after impact, there’s no other organisation in Australia that delivers work on this scale.

You're passionate about public service and ready to lead a team of professionals, share your expertise and guide decision-making to help shape the future of our State.

In this role, you'll:

This is a senior strategic leadership opportunity responsible for leading the Architecture Governance & Practice function across Transport for NSW. The role ensures enterprise architecture, domain architecture, solution architecture, data, and AI governance are aligned to organisational strategy, operational priorities, and long-term technology objectives.

You will build and maintain a holistic enterprise view across business strategy, processes, information, technology assets, and governance practices, ensuring ICT strategies are scalable, sustainable, agile, and aligned with business outcomes.

A key focus of the role is driving governance at scale, uplifting architecture governance capability, and modernising governance approaches to support contemporary delivery practices, emerging technologies, and enterprise transformation initiatives. You will lead the development and implementation of governance frameworks that balance innovation, agility, compliance, risk management, technical debt reduction, and business value.

You will oversee governance processes across enterprise, domain, solution, data, and AI architecture practices, ensuring strong alignment between strategic architecture principles and delivery execution. This includes establishing governance models, architecture review forums, decision-making frameworks, compliance controls, and automated governance processes that support consistency across the organisation.

The role will also drive the ongoing management and uplift of architecture repositories, standards, policy wikis, knowledge management assets, and decision records, ensuring governance practices remain contemporary, scalable, and operationally effective.

You will work closely with architecture and delivery teams to link enterprise, domain, and solution architecture practices, supporting standardisation, governance maturity, and stronger delivery alignment across transformation initiatives.

The role also provides strategic input into ICT investment and prioritisation activities, including financial modelling, business cases, governance assessments, and enterprise roadmap planning.

As a senior leader, you will guide and influence stakeholders across business and technology domains, ensuring governance frameworks evolve in line with organisational priorities, changing regulatory expectations, and emerging capabilities in data, AI, and digital transformation.
