We are seeking an experienced, driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to join our growing national team. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role offers a unique opportunity to play a key part in the company’s strategic growth journey, driving revenue, expanding market presence and building long-term customer partnerships across Australia.

Based in Sydney and involving significant regional and interstate travel, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities in regional territories, managing key customer relationships, and delivering sustainable, profitable growth in line with the company’s strategic objectives.

This role requires a proactive sales professional with a proven track record of achieving results through a disciplined and strategic approach to business development. Experience working with government authorities, civil construction, infrastructure, or road construction sectors will be highly regarded.

Position Summary – Key Focus Areas

  • Drive sales growth and increase market share across regional territories

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within local government, civil construction, infrastructure, and utilities sectors

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with councils, contractors, procurement teams, and key stakeholders

  • Strong understanding of local government procurement processes, with the ability to monitor tender opportunities and coordinate contact submissions

  • Ability to work autonomously across large regional territories

  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts to maximise revenue opportunities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets

  • Maintain accurate reporting, pipeline management, and market intelligence

  • Represent the company at council meetings, industry forums, and regional networking opportunities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes and support company objectives

Skills and Experience Required

  • Willingness to travel extensively for business needs

  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and exceeding targets in a competitive market

  • Experience in civil construction, infrastructure, road safety, or a related industry is highly regarded

  • Strong business development, sales planning and commercial acumen

  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and customer service skills

  • Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems

  • Professional, energetic, and results-driven, with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer outcomes
