Technical Lead (Engineering)

We're partnering with a well-established and growing pet insurance business looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to help drive the evolution of several business-critical customer and digital platforms.

This is an opportunity to lead from the front- mentoring engineers, shaping technical direction, influencing architecture decisions, and remaining actively involved in development.

You'll join a team where technology is central to the business and where your ideas, leadership and technical expertise will genuinely influence outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and mentoring a team of local and offshore engineers
• Providing technical direction across multiple digital products and platforms
• Remaining hands-on with development across React, .NET and Azure technologies
• Driving engineering best practices, code quality and DevOps maturity
• Collaborating closely with Product, Technology and Business stakeholders
• Supporting cloud-native application development and modern software delivery practices
• Helping bridge the gap between software engineering and infrastructure teams
• Contributing to architectural decisions and long-term platform strategy

• Terraform

• Insurance or Financial Services experience

About You

You'll likely come from a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, Lead Engineer or Senior Engineering background and still enjoy being close to the technology.
You'll bring:

• Strong React and front-end development experience
• Solid .NET API development expertise
• Proven Azure cloud experience
• Hands-on DevOps experience
• Experience leading and mentoring engineers
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working with distributed or offshore teams
• A pragmatic approach to problem-solving and delivery
