Strathfield South, 2136, Sydney, New South Wales
Full time
What we need:
A super motivated salesperson who is keen to work for a values-based business. We'd love someone who really cares about the job they do and the impact it has on the customer. We're a small, friendly Sydney team who help each other out, and we're looking for a genuine team player who enjoys working together to deliver great results.
What you will do:
You'll be out on the road in a branded van, visiting cafes, restaurants, hotels and other hospitality venues as the face of our brand in the field. Most of your time is spent in person, walking into new accounts, sparking conversations and turning cold doors into new customers.
This is a hunter role. You'll prospect and cold call your way through a territory, identifying the right outlets, building relationships from scratch and pitching our drinks range to decision-makers on the spot. You'll own the full journey from first knock to signed account, then hand newly won customers to the wider sales team for ongoing support.
At least 80% of your time will be spent out on the road, face to face with potential customers, with the remaining 20% for follow-ups from home or the office. To really enjoy this role, you need to genuinely want to be out and about day after day; this isn't a desk job with the occasional field visit, it's a field job with the occasional desk task.
Between visits, you'll keep your pipeline sharp by logging activity, tracking leads and following up relentlessly so no opportunity goes cold. You'll work to clear KPIs around new customer acquisition, with real accountability for the numbers you drive, and plenty of support from head office and the wider team.
From time to time, you may also be asked to help out with deliveries, whether that's a first delivery for a customer you've just brought on, or covering for the delivery team when someone's away sick.
What you will bring:
We move pretty quickly at Soulfresh, so our new teammate needs to be comfortable with a fast-paced environment and changing priorities. There's a physical component to the role, so you'll need to be able to bend, twist and lift.
And finally, attitude is everything, so being proactive, seeing the bigger picture and having a positive attitude is a must. Small business owners rarely respond well to a hard sell; they want someone warm and genuine who can have a chat, share a laugh and build rapport, even if it doesn't lead to a sale on the day. In the real world, this looks like:
Comfortable with early starts and early finishes (you'll be out the door early and wrapping up earlier too, since cold-calling cafes works best before the lunch rush or before they start winding down around 2pm)
Excellent communication skills, comfortable communicating within the team and to leaders regarding job specs, issues and improvement opportunities
Proactive, able to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy
Strong planning and time management, able to effectively plan and manage day-to-day tasks (most of the day is spent independently on the road, so this is a must!)
Conscientious, able to work under pressure and meet KPI targets
Safety conscious, aware of and able to adhere to safe work practices, with a clean driving record
What we offer:
π° Uncapped incentive scheme β the more customers you bring on, the more money in your pocket
π₯ Discounted, delicious snacks and drinks
π€Ή Variety in your day
π Learning and development opportunities
π§ Mental health support and access to the Employee Assistance Program
πΆ Paid parental leave
