Funded through the National Autism Strategy, the Improving Social Connections Program is a major new national initiative designed to strengthen peer connection, reduce social isolation and foster belonging for Autistic people, families and carers across Australia.

Delivered by Aspect in partnership with Reframing Autism, the program will establish a national framework, information hub, community partner network and practical resources that support meaningful, community-led peer connection opportunities across the country.

We are seeking an experienced Digital & Content Development Lead to drive the creation of a national information hub and oversee the development of accessible resources, tools and digital experiences that will support Autistic people, families, carers and communities across Australia.

About the Role

As Digital & Content Development Lead, you will lead the development and ongoing enhancement of the program's Self-Service Information Hub, ensuring it delivers an accessible, engaging and user-centred experience.

You will oversee content strategy, resource development, digital delivery and supplier management while working closely with Autistic people, community stakeholders and content contributors to ensure resources are practical, inclusive and impactful.

This is a unique opportunity to combine digital leadership, accessibility, content strategy and social impact in a role that will help shape a national legacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Self-Service Information Hub

  • Facilitate and support co-design processes to create accessible resources, tools and learning materials

  • Manage digital suppliers, developers and content production activities

  • Ensure accessibility, usability and user-centred design principles are embedded throughout all digital products and content

  • Coordinate content planning, development, review and publication processes

  • Monitor platform performance and user engagement to inform continuous improvement

  • Use feedback, insights and evaluation findings to enhance user experience and content effectiveness

  • Contribute to communications, stakeholder engagement and knowledge-sharing activities

About You

You are an experienced digital and content professional who is passionate about creating accessible and meaningful user experiences.

You will bring:

  • Qualifications in digital media, communications, content development, information technology, design or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience leading digital platforms, content development projects or online information services

  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards, inclusive design and user-centred approaches

  • Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Strong content strategy, writing and editing skills

  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders, suppliers and contributors

  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration and relationship-building capabilities

  • Commitment to accessibility, inclusion and neurodiversity-affirming practice

  • Passion for creating positive community impact

Experience working in disability, health, education, government or community services sectors will be highly regarded.
