Tweed Eco Cruises operates a collection of river cruises, private charters and tourism experiences on the beautiful Tweed River. Based at the Tweed Marina, we are seeking an enthusiastic, commercially minded and highly organised Sales, Marketing & Reservations Coordinator to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys driving bookings, creating engaging content, building customer relationships and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Working closely with the business owners and the marketing team at The Hinterland Collection, you will play a key role in growing awareness, increasing bookings and supporting the continued success of the business.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the business owners, you will be responsible for sales, reservations, customer service and marketing activities, with a strong focus on driving bookings and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Reservations
  • Manage phone, email and online enquiries.

  • Convert enquiries into cruise bookings, private charters and group experiences.

  • Manage reservations through FareHarbor and other booking platforms.

  • Prepare quotations and proposals and actively follow up leads.

  • Coordinate private charters, group bookings and special events.

  • Build relationships with accommodation providers, tourism operators, visitor information centres and local businesses.

  • Identify and implement initiatives to drive short and medium-term bookings.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service before, during and after guest experiences.

Marketing & Content
  • Work collaboratively with The Hinterland Collection marketing team to develop and implement campaigns and promotional initiatives.

  • Assist in creating and sourcing engaging photo, video and written content.

  • Assist with social media channels, including content planning, scheduling, community engagement and reporting.

  • Create and distribute newsletters and EDM campaigns.

  • Assist with SEO, Google Ads and website content updates.

  • Develop and update brochures, flyers, sales collateral and promotional material using Canva and Adobe.

  • Coordinate tourism listings, promotional opportunities and partnership campaigns.

  • Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reporting on marketing activities.

Administration & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate booking, customer and partner records.

  • Prepare weekly sales, reservations and marketing reports.

  • General office administration and guest communications.

  • Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.

About You

You are a positive, proactive and results-driven individual who enjoys working in a small business environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Skills & Experience
  • Experience in tourism, hospitality, events, reservations, sales or marketing.

  • Strong sales and lead conversion skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience creating engaging content for social media and digital platforms.

  • Experience managing social media channels and email marketing campaigns.

  • Experience creating brochures, presentations and marketing collateral using Canva.

  • Understanding of SEO, Google Ads and digital marketing principles.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

  • Commercially minded with a focus on driving bookings, revenue and measurable outcomes.

  • Experience with HubSpot, FareHarbor or similar booking systems highly regarded.

  • Guest check-in and occasional on-water support as required.

Desirable Qualifications
  • Hospitality experience.

  • Current NSW RSA certification.

  • Certificate I in Maritime Operations (General Purpose Hand) or other maritime qualifications.

  • Current First Aid certification.
